What: Autotech 256mm Rear Brake Conversion Why: The stock TDI rear brakes are practically microscopic. They were lost in a sea of 17 inches of wheel... they looked terrible. The rear brake upgrade adds about an inch to the rotors, and changes out the calipers to so that they match the fronts. The rear TDI calipers are the squared/finned type... the R32 ones that are on there now are the rounded ones... like the mini-version of the fronts. The rear bearings are a bear to get off, which you have to do to get the splash shields What I would do differently: I would like to have 11" rears, but I don't know where I could get those or how they would mount. The 256mm rotors still look small in the wheel, just not as bad as before. Where: |
