What: SportMax 17" Wheels Why: They were cheap. Plain and simple, I planned on buying a "temporary" set of wheels until I could get the OZ Racing ones I wanted. I've since learned that there is no such thing as temporary wheels. These looked pretty good and I figured my money could be put to better use elsewhere. The OZ's are still on my list, but seem to have moved pretty far down the list. What I would do differently: I'd probably hold out for the OZ Wheels. However, now having lived with an aftermarket set of wheels for awhile... I might look into getting really low weight wheels to improve fuel economy. I would also make sure I had a ready line on hubcentric rings to fit the wheels properly to a VW. Where: They don't sell them anymore as far as I know. |
