What: FrostHeater Why: I occasionally visit colder climates where my car has to sit outside at night. I elected to get the FrostHeater because I was worried about cold starts in Colorado and Nebraska in the dead of winter. In the year it's been installed, I've not even seen my glowplug lights come on, much less had a need to plug the beast in. What I would do differently: I noticed that recently, a .658 5th gear became available. If I was doing it now, I would install one of these. Switching up to the .681 from stock takes a bit of getting use to, since you can't shift into 5th as early as stock or the engine lugs pretty bad. The .658 would make this even more of a problem... but ahh the sound of 2000 rpm at 80mph. Where: |
